I am excited this place is open! The remodel is nice and certainly a very different vibe, more upscale and caters to a different audience. We had breakfast , a breakfast egg sausage sandwich and the frittata. Both were very tasty. The menu is still evolving and we are excited to see what gets added. Nice variety of beverages to buy in fridge and salads looked fresh.
The biggest gap I see is lack of basic groceries which was the best part of the prior establishment and probably the one of primary reasons we headed there (breakfast being the other). We paid premium for milk, butter eggs and sugar, and we were happy to pay for the convenience when we woke up and found we were missing essentials and did not want to go all the way to a grocery store in Walworth or rte50. The general area is very residential and I would assume we are not the only ones.
Not sure you will find me seated at the couch by the fireplace, though it adds a nice aesthetic touch, but let's see. Instead of multiple shelf's of random gifts and candles, simple household items might be better suited for this area.
In any case I am hopeful this place makes it and gets a lot of foot traffic. We will continue to frequent here and see how this evolves and what else gets added to the menu.
Great Atmosphere, and staff are very friendly and customer service oriented (which wasn't always the case prior to it being Bigfoot Market). There food is great too (we loved Kringle's menu), but with Duncan in charge of this kitchen the food here is night and day! Short rib quesadilla is my favorite! Pizza is good too! Looking forward to more menu options, and being able to randomly pick up eggs again! This place is definitely a staple in the community!
The coffee was absolutely horrible and overpriced. No one in Walworth county charges six dollars for a small coffee especially when they sell an espresso for $3.50 For $2.50 more than hot water And still not have a large. The place is absolutely beautiful and the service is Attentive
I ordered a cheeseburger to go, and was not disappointed. It was done perfectly, tasted delicious, and the owners were very nice and friendly. I highly recommend stopping in and seeing how cute and cozy it is. I sat by a fireplace as I waited.
