It's the ultimate place to have fun evening and exciting lunch. Free bacon and free popcorn. Located in a shopping center near hotel Shereton. Live music adds more fun. There are big screens to watch games. Service is great. Pork wings and chicken wings are amazing.
Everything is better with bacon, and The Saloon on Calhoun is no exception. From the bacon happy hour and bacon inspired menu, you are sure to leave satisfied. Full bar and good selection of beer. A great place for an intimate concert experience. One of my favorite features are the miniature spot lights that illuminate your table without killing the ambience.
Good beer selection, GREAT whiskey selection and really good food. The best fish fry I have ever had! Love this place!
This review is about this venue as a place to see a live band. I've not had the food so I can't comment on that but I will say that the general vibe is much closer to bar / club than restaurant.
I'm giving it 5 stars for experiencing music. There is a permanent stage andand small dance area. It appears that the house owns the sound system not the individual band. The sound quality is spot on. They even shoot decent quality live video feed of the band and display it on several screens located on different areas.
The bartenders and servers were friendly and efficient. Overall a very enjoyable experience
I feel like this place used to be better? I liked the update of the bourbon bar... ....that's my jam. But I feel like the food took a fall. We got the deviled eggs... the little bread pieces were legit bricks. The wings were average ... ...which I was a little disappointed with as I remembered them as being good. The BLT was okay... the tots were pretty good. It's been a fun place to watch sports... historically they have bacon during happy hour during the week. ....this was my first time back here in a few years/after the remodel.
