David Alan Alan's Smokehouse & Saloon

We’ve had many outstanding visits to David Alan Alan’s in Mukwonago, both for dine in and carryout. Christine has been our server on numerous occasions and she has always been excellent, truly outstanding! Have enjoyed fantastic sandwiches, sides, salads and more! My many favorites include the Smokehouse BBQ Salad, their large Smoked Drummies, Wisconsin Cheese Curds and the Pig Tail Fries. The restaurant has a great atmosphere and we have always enjoyed excellent service.

The pork belly was an amazing appetizer. There are plenty of barbecue sauces to choose from that are on the table. The best sauce I believe was the bacon barbecue bourbon. I ordered the smokehouse salad and I ended up bringing most of it home as leftovers. The hot chocolate with Bailey’s Irish cream was addictive. I’m never having hot chocolate plain again in my life. The waitress was friendly and not overbearing.

Always so impressed with David Alan Alan's! Our waitress, Sam, was spectacular! She was patient, kind, and provided great service with a smile! After we had paid our bill, we sat at our table for a while (it wasn't crowded) and Sam continued to check in on us to make sure we were ok. Most waitresses don't do that once the bill is paid. Way to go, Sam! Thank you for your great service! We will be back!

Big portions and delicious food. I came here and the place had a nice atmosphere and friendly wait staff. Had the pleasure of trying out many different menu items along with the people I went with. Collectively we were very impressed by the quality and portion size and will definitely come back. Also a good beer selection including a delicious dark malty brew.

Food was good, but had an interesting experience at dinner tonight. My Son ordered 1/2 rack of ribs, and by accident the server brought out a full rack. Okay no harm no foul. (I would of been happy to pay the difference) The server came back to our table and told my son that they brought out a full rack out by accident and she needed to take them back to the kitchen. So he stopped eating his dinner, and being courteous he picked up the rack he was eating, and then the server took his plate and the other half rack back to the kitchen. Then she brought out a clean plate for him, and apologized. So........ did the other 1/2 rack get thrown away, or get reserved? Also my wife ordered the curly pig fries as her side, and received smoked beans. Then she was asked if she still wanted the fries, and she said yes. And I was charged for them . I’m not one for writing reviews.(actually this might be my first one) Kind of disappointed, especially since we drove all the way up from Genoa City for dinner.
