Westhaven Golf Club

Okay so here is why I am giving Westhaven a 5/5 star review.

If I could I would rate it a 4.5/5 but unfortunately google doesn’t allow :(

Okay so by no means is Westhaven a 5 star golf course. But in a town that has no other competition as far as golf course quality goes it takes the cake.

1. Westhaven is fun! It’s an easy course but yet kept up (for the most part) and designed to be favorable for the player yet still forcing you to hit good shots. It’s also a shorter course playing at a Par 70.

2. Good crowd! I’m 23 and I’ve been golfing here all summer on my off days. You see a lot of similar faces and everyone is nice. The staff, in my experience, are very respectful and treat everyone well.

3. Golf Carts! Most of the golf carts at Westhaven come with built in range finders and are fast and electric powered. Just a plus to boost the rating of this course.

4. PRICE!! Not too sure how the pricing works here but I came in to play 9 holes one Saturday evening after 5:30 and it was 16 bucks!! And for the quality of golf you are getting. That can’t be beat!

5. My dislikes. Saw some other complaints about this but yes. On the back 9 there are dead trees. Looks like from some sort of disease going around but I also agree. It isn’t a good look. Some of the ponds could also use more water.

Overall if you are looking for a fun, challenging but stress free golf course! Give Westhaven a go. For the price and the quality I think you’ll be happy.

Very disappointed. Dead trees all over the course that should have been removed years ago. The entire course is in desperate need of water, and it’s only May. Anything even slightly of the fairway is practically unplayable. Instead of spending money on new carts with GPS, they need to spend more money on course maintenance.
UPDATE: I golfed Westhaven again this past weekend for a golf outing. What a difference! The course was in excellent shape! Tee boxes, fairways, and greens were full and well manicured. Great job by the grounds crew to get things turned around.

2023 The course is looking and playing great! Nice updates to the bar and bathrooms. I enjoyed their new drink specials and food. New electric carts with the distance readers also.

This course will really surprise you. It’s amongst a neighborhood but laid out in a really nice way. They have updated golf carts with usb charging and touchscreen golf gps
