Had the everything egg omelette and the biscuits and gravy. Love how it was made in front of you on a griddle. Everything was cooked to perfection. Hashbrowns were perfect, not over cooked and burnt or greasy! Biscuits were flaky and the gravy didn't need any salt or pepper! Everything was wonderful. Reminds me of an old time Ma and Pop cafe diner. The waitress was very friendly. And the people in there were easy and kind to talk to. They have room for parking semi and trailer on the side! Will definitely stop again. I would even go out of my way to stop in!
I ordered the Club sandwhich on wheat which was maybe one of the best club sandwiches I've had in a long time. My son had the chicken strips and fries and my buddy had a chef salad with Blue cheese dressing. The chicken strips were good but my son had to order a side of fries since he was still hungry. Very tiny chicken strips. Chef salad was good but had no boiled eggs which is pretty standard on a chef salad. We ordered 2 side appetizers of jalapeño poppers and a side order of French fries as well. The fries were all hot and delicious and surprisingly good. My order of 6 jalapeño poppers were still ice cold in the center which really put a damper on what was nearly a 5 star reveiw. Skye was our server and she was prompt and through as well as attentive.
Awesome little 50s style/themed diner open 24 hours. I’ve only been here twice in two weeks but it’s pretty darn good for small town USA. Cozy, comfortable and relaxed atmosphere for people who desire such. I had some green chili on one of my breakfasts and it was the bomb. Next dish was the biscuits and gravy with eggs and a side of sausage. Everyone knows biscuits and gravy are hit and miss depending on the biscuits. These biscuits were soft, flaky and great. A must try. Penny’s is a nice little hidden gem.
Super cute restaurant right off the highway. Great service & very polite. The food was very reasonably priced & tasted great. The theme & decor of the restaurant was very fun.
We almost didn’t dine here after reading some of the negative reviews, but DO NOT let those stop you from eating at Penny’s! The waitress was very sweet and attentive and the food exceeded our expectations. We got burgers, and the bacon burger specifically was delicious! It’s typical diner food, but done well.
