“This location is hands down the best shipleys! I was so happy when I walked in and they had an ice and soda machine! Then the also sold bottled unsweetened tea! I looked at my brother and said the only thing that could make this any better is if the had mustard and to my surprise they did! None of the other locations I've been to had these items. All Shipleys have kolaches and donuts that's a given. I want to say thank you to the owner of this location for adding these items to your store. I pay attention to the small details. To add the last time I went to a different location the kolaches were hard and old. I am glad I stopped here. The kolaches and donuts were fresh. Plus the kolaches are best with mustard!”

“I recently visited Boba Bird, and I must say, it was an absolute delight! I ordered the spicy chicken tenders and a bird boss milk tea, and I was blown away by the flavors. The tenders were generously sized, perfectly spiced, and had a satisfying crispiness that I absolutely loved. The seasoned fries were a fantastic complement to the meal, and they were deliciously seasoned. The bird boss milk tea was the perfect balance of sweetness and flavor, and it provided a refreshing contrast to the spiciness of the tenders. The variety of boba teas and smoothies they offer is impressive, and I can't wait to try more of them. I also have to mention that their Boba sauce is absolutely delicious! It added an extra layer of flavor to the tenders that took them to the next level. The ambiance of the restaurant is welcoming, they have cool board games, and the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. “I ordered half a dozen glazed & a cinnamon twist. They got the donuts off the tray. The donuts were warm, but cool enough that the icing didn't melt 2 bottom of the donuts. ( The Perfect temperature / cooling time ). Great job !!!! 👏👍 They should call their cinnamon twist just " The Twist " because I couldn't taste any cinnamon in or on like I used 2. " The Twist. “I've been coming to this store for the last 25 years.. and NOTHING COMPARES. I've been to dozens of other Shipley stores, and this one has by far been my favorite! We did have a slight hicc-up this last visit, where the milk we got from the fridge in store was spoiled, but that's the first time something like that has EVER happened. The milk was not expired or opened in any way, so there was no way for the employees to know. We grabbed two right next to each other, and the 2nd one was just fine! Donuts are always top notch, and the warm glazed.. are out of this world!”

“I gotta start off with recommending the brisket & cheese kolaches— WOWWWW!! 🤩🤩🤩 I typically don’t eat meat, but give you don’t find a brisket & cheese kolaches often, I HAD TO TRY IT!! I’ve gotta say, even though in the day I visited, they prepared it with different dough and had more of a pizza consistency… the flavor & fall off the bone of the brisket was worth it. This is probably some of the best brisket I’ve had in awhile, including some of the steakhouses I’ve visited in the past. The customer service is on point & makes me want to return again. They provide the warmth, family-oriented service you don’t typically find, reminded me of good ol’ Sugar Land businesses from when I was growing up here.”

“They're great Doughnuts, if a tad small. The pictures of the prices tell a wonderful story. 90 years ago a dozen cost 5 cents. In 2024 money, that's $1.10. Today they're $14.49..... that's a 14% average yearly increase every year since December 2018, when they were $8.59. I don't think they've gotten larger or more delicious. I know inflation has been ridiculous, but 69% is way beyond the inflation rate for that time-frame [22%]. They ought to be $10.49 (look up inflation calculator).”

“Pretty tasty donuts. I was searching around for a new donut spot to put into my life and stumbled upon this one, driving down Beach Blvd to Kernan. These donuts were soft, fluffy, and fresh. There are a variety of options to choose from, but I opted for a lemon, Bavarian cream, and an apple filled donut along with a glaze and cinnamon sugar donut. Decent price, and they have a drive thru. I recommend going inside, though, so you can see how great the donuts look, and you can see all the varieties they have.”

Forgot to take pictures of everything but trust us. :) The Ube French Toast was perfectly crispy on the outside with a soft brioche texture in the center - wow!! The chicken adobo was so flavorful along with the rest of our lunch. And the desserts were literally perfection/ bursting with flavor and love the marscapone topping. Service was amazing and Flo is simply the sweetest. Flo and her team clearly care about their customers and put so much love into what they do. Make this a must stop in Jax! You won’t regret it!”

“This is a hidden gem. Liz took my order and was patient and courteous. I changed my order at the speaker and she gracefully changed it without hesitation. I pulled to the window where I was greeted with “Good morning” and a genuine smile. I could tell just by looking at my iced coffee that the ratio of cream was correct for the size.
