My wife and I visited just for a few nights to put our new small rig through its paces in cool-weather dry-camping conditions. What we found is a gem of a little campground! The owner was super helpful and we felt most welcomed; he even arranged a water fill-up point that we used on arrival. The sites and inside roads are on the smaller size (I would not have been comfortable venturing in there in our previous 40-foot 5th-wheel) but most are level and well located amid tall spruce. It's hard to find a good site for solar (our site, #1, was probably the best for that), but I guess the shade is nice in warmer weather. There are super-clean pit toilets in each of the two "loops," other than that it's fully dry camping. Great, grassy "recreation" area by the creek, short but nice walking trails in the forest. The only downside: quite a bit of heavy-truck traffic on the two roads adjacent to the campground. On the other hand, things got right down quiet during the evening and at night. We slept great! We would definitely come back.

Beautiful little campground halfway between Hinton and Red Deer! Sites are nicely treed and the hosts are friendly. Toddler Casey and puppy Kodak loved the open meadow area by the creek! Hearing the creek and watching the stars was a perfect night cap.
Washrooms were nice and clean. A solar powered motion light inside would be a dandy upgrade

Hidden gem of a campground just 1hr 40min from edmonton! This brand new beautiful little secret spot opened 2 years ago. It has 24 non-powered sites, $20/night. Firewood inside $8 bundle or 2 for $16. Very friendly welcoming host angel was available throughout our stay. We pitched a tent at site 12 and it was the best last minute camping I could have ever hoped for. Giant sites. We have a 10 person tent, gazebo and truck; with space to spare. Each site has a picnic table and firepit. The sites are gravel so if your tenting bring a mattress. Ground is soft enough for pegs still. Each site is enclosed by trees providing some privacy from the other sites and shade during the day. We were lucky to witness a meteor shower on Saturday aug 12, the stars are unreal out here nvm the shooting stars making our evening that much more magical. There are 2 outhouses that are well maintained, though busy and quaint. There is a small play ground with a slide, monkey bars and swings. My little guy (2yr) preferred the small walk through the woods, across a bridge and into a large opening surrounded by a creek and raspberry bushes! It's stunning. You'll find 1 picnic area, a large communal fire pit, a horse shoe toss with the horse shoes! Some goal posts for soccer, a small sandpit with large tire, and my kids personal favorite a bear statue. A great spot to have some privacy and enjoy spending time together. Bring a ball for some catch or soccer, try your hand at horse shoes or relax with a book and a picnic! Don't forget to keep your eye out for a couple fresh raspberries! There is a petting farm about 10 min up the road, bear paw ranch, $5 entry. Worth checking out if you love farm animals. When we visit next summer we will pick camp site 1. It's the biggest with a grassy area for tenting. We happened to find this spot by chance desperately searching for fcfs last minute camping, which barely exists since covid. This hidden gem will be busy once they figure out their internet presence. We are going to make this our new favorite spot and as much as I want to gatekeep it, the owner is too wonderful and has put too much work into opening this lovely homey little campground, for me to do so without feeling guilty. So if your considering booking here I say go for it! You won't regret it, especially for last minute weekend coming.

Lovely campground, a little close to a highway, but it wasn't too bad. Quiet, and the owners were absolutely delightful to talk to.
They had these cute trails that would lead to the river, definitely worth checking out. Absolutely beautiful.
    Will definitely come back here

I camped here in my self contained travel trailer and enjoyed a wonderfully peaceful creekside campsite. Our campsite was perfectly level, private, and close to gorgeous nature trails. The campground is brand new, and more features will be added in the near future but it’s perfect, rustic simplicity for a reasonable price. The campsites are neat and tidy and well spaced And surrounded by forest and wildlife.
