Tree Amigo Custom Landscaping

We had Tree Amigo in this past summer. After chasing around many fly by night landscapers, we eventually got ahold of Tree amigo and they were one of the few who actually returned calls and emails promptly. They had the enormous task of removing what worked out to be just over 25 tons of concrete from our backyard. Once done, they backfilled and graded the yard, installed piping for us to put in irrigation, and built us a pathway from the house to the garage, and sodded the rest.

Overall, we were pleased with the work, and the pathway has held up so far to the winter frost heave that is typical in Calgary.

Price point was competitive, and the schedule only slid by maybe a few days, which is manageable. There is nothing more frustrating that hiring someone, getting a timeline, and then seeing that timeline blown out of the water because they show up and only do a couple hours of work. Our experience with Tree Amigo was that they worked solidly through the day, and when circumstances didn't allow for this, they let us know, which was nice.

They also were insured (a must have) and made the effort of showing us a copy of the updated insurance, which we really appreciated.

I'd definitely recommend Tree Amigo.

My husband and I were scrambling to find a reliable landscaper last year. We had to get our main water line fixed so everything was a mess after the excavation. We called several companies who seemed uninterested to take on the job. Some came, gave an estimate and left.
Jeff, on the other hand, came and did his measurements and told us he would email us a complete breakdown of the cost. He also drew up a sketch of what he thinks would work for our yard. Gave us a catalogue of paving stones to choose from and gave recommendations. He was patient and worked with our price range.

He is transparent with his work— always provided updates on changes and timelines.
We are also getting Jeff to do our backyard next year. 10/10 recommending Jeff to our family and friends.

Tree Amigo started a landscape project on my slopped front yard late last fall. Jeff designed and built all of the block retaining walls. He returned in the spring and installed the irrigation, did all of the plantings and placed matting and mulch. We are very happy with the final result, and would recommend Tree Amigo. Jeff is courteous and hard working and a pleasure to have at our house.
