I boarded at Heatherdown for almost 9 years. The facility grows it's own hay and it's of amazing quality.

The Arena is massive, used for many different disciplines and really warm in the winter for borders and haul ins. There is a year round wash bay, amazing trails right on and directly off property for hours and hours and hours of exciting riding. Cowboy challenge equipment, soccer balls and jumps etc for boarders to use. Flag nights, winter moonlight trail rides and so much more.

All the fencing is high rounded metal so it's great for horses that need to get over cribbing. Every stall has heated automatic waterers that are inspected regularly. As a boarder you get a large tack storage space, huge compared to other barns. The operating hours are flexible and the environment is very social.

The owners live on site and are easy going but run a tight ship with quick and fair resolution to any "horse to horse" issue or boarder concerns.

I left for 1.5 years to another facility closer to the city but came back to Heatherdown. It's only 10 minutes farther than the facilities closer to Edmonton but absolutely worth it.
Horse trailer storage is also available!

    Highly recommended
(or I wouldn't have come back.)

It is a perfect place for riding English as well as Western riding. There are great coaches for both disciplines. There are quite a lot of differences between Heatherdown Hills Ranch and other Barnes we have been associated with most of all is how everyone gets along.
