Meika's Birdhouse Ltd

I bought a Kakariki bird here. Very nice birds and very good price for these parrots. All the birds look healthy, I highly recommend this place for new bird owners or people who wants to get a new bird for the first time.

Love this place! Super friendly and helpful! They are always eager to try and answer any questions and do the best for you and your loved ones. They treat you like family, best place to go for bird stuff.

This is a nice place ?? Very friendly, great for kids (with behaviour of course) ? You can buy or adopt birds here, some are even with the cage! Food, treats, toys for animals. We adored silky chicken running around the store ????? They are so cute. And it is a safe place if you want them to babysit your birdie ?

Janine and Ian and all the staff at Meika’s are awesome! My partner and I shop here almost exclusively for toys and food for our birds, and my African Grey and Quaker just came back from their first “staycation” with them, happy and healthy. I love their assortment of affordable bulk foot toys that I use to make my own. They often have secondhand cages/carriers and unique homemade stands for sale as well. Of course, I can’t ever resist peeking in to visit with the birds in their care. One day when it’s the right time, I’d love to adopt a bird from them... it’s obvious even the birds that came from previous abuse and neglect get the best care at Meika’s and are granted a new lease on life. I love to support local business and this one is top notch!

I can't tell you how grateful I am to have a bird store like Meika's Birdhouse locally. The owners are amazing people who are passionate about bettering the lives of all birds, the work they do is incredible. I've trusted my flock to their excellent care for over 10 years now. Their store carries everything I need for my birds and lots for the wild ones outside too! I love this place.
