We stumbled upon this museum while touring the countryside. We spent a couple of hours there. It's a wonderful history lesson and there are many photos and artifacts from the war(s). The stories are personalized so it's interesting and informative at the same time. There are washrooms but I would bring a coffee or water to drink. Good variety of gifts and souvenirs in the gift shop.

If you love history about WWII and airplanes, I think this is a must. I can spend hours in there looking at everything and reading all the little stories. There have been some very dedicated personal to get it where it is and where they want to keep expanding and restoring. I have been blessed with seeing the Lancaster be started up twice, once on a day time engine start and just recently a night time engine start up. Enjoy when you go.

Very cool place, definitely worth checking out. The staff were very knowledgeable friendly. Watching a plane restoration underway was very neat and the restorers are available to speak with which offers great insight into the process. The kids loved the flight simulator and getting to climb into and explore the planes. It was hard getting them to leave!

If you're in do Aviation museums you can't miss bomber command. Finally a chance to see the famous Lancaster up close and personal. The amazing and numerous differences between the Lancaster and the B-17 and B-24 series is well worth the time. Lots of other nice exhibits good history and lots of stuff on Canada's role in bomber command. This is a must stop if you're in aviation history!

The guides were very knowledgeable in the subject area. The displays were very well done. Great pictures and artifacts and stories written in the displays. Wonderful opportunities to actually walk into a bomber plane to experience what it must have been like. Apparently they start up the engines several times a year. There is another Lancaster bomber in Hamilton that actually is airworthy and flies.
