Growing up my Mother told me that avocados, mangoes, and cilantro were pretty gross. “Don’t even bother with them!” she said. Being the obedient daughter that I was, I took my beautiful Mother’s advice as she offered it with her best intentions. I did not try them until I was an adult. To this day, they are my favourite foods. I know you’re wondering, how the heck do avocados relate to Dr. Travis Cox? Please, allow me to explain. I’ve been living with severe chronic pain that began at age 19 as a result from a traumatic motor vehicle collision. Along the road, being the careful individual that I am, I sustained many more injuries and concussions from sports and other collisions. Seeking treatment for my complex health issues has been difficult and trying to say the least. I’ve tried many Western medical/therapy avenues. I’ve tried Eastern/Southern/Northern alternative medicine routes. Heck, I’ve even tried yoga therapy multiple times! I would waltz into a new practitioners class or office space optimistic and eager to improve my health. I would always give each person or clinic an honest try. However, I would typically be offered a fast-paced, generic, textbook evaluation followed up with a cookie cutter therapy program and some pills. After multiple X-Ray’s and MRI’s I was told everything looked “normal”, or “just take some Ibuprofen!”. I can assure you, I did not feel normal and Ibuprofen was not fixing my health issues. In the end l was generally left feeling hopeless, helpless, and sore! Over the years, I avoided Chiropractic therapy. My support circle (aka Mom & Dad & Grandparents) preached, “Don’t go wasting your time with Chiropractors, they simply make things worse!” “They’re silly witch doctors! They just take your time and money while convincing you to keep coming back for more.” I was recommended to Dr. Travis Cox by someone I really trusted, I reluctantly showed up as a last resort. At age 27 I’d lost my ability to work. Letting my dog out to pee or getting out of bed to brush my teeth had become almost impossible without pumping myself full of harsh pain medications that made me very ill. Dr. Travis Cox came into my life like a ray of sunshine. He is passionate, truthful, and extremely knowledgable. He listens and he investigates your health complications. Dr. Travis works with you and offers treatment plans that really work. Not only is he a great human being, but his office is a tranquil place which plays great music and offers comfortable couches I thoroughly enjoy reading a book on. You can find me sipping on a delicious complimentary tea, overlooking the beautiful Inglewood community, while the sun beams down in the morning. He pays attention to the details. Him and his office have set the bar high for any Chiropractor I will ever see throughout my lifetime. I say that because I do not feel stuck in one place anymore and unfortunately I won’t be able to bring him with me on my travels. I now know my dream of travelling the world is possible as pain management gets better every day.

Thank you Dr. Travis. Your wisdom, grace, and passion are noticed. I would give Dr. Travis a solid 5 avocados out of 5.

PS. This is my first review I have taken the time to write. I am writing this following my Mother’s first visit with Dr. Travis earlier today. She has seen the progress in me and took the plunge to see Dr. Travis herself. She has put trust in him to help her navigate her own health issues and I couldn’t be any more excited.

Very calming approach and environment for the clinic. Listens to your concerns, doesnt dismiss them- using them to help create the bigger picture

I have always been sceptical about chiropractors, but only from what I’d heard, never from personal experience. I wanted to learn more and get to know businesses in my community (Inglewood), so I went in for an assessment, knowing I could learn something! Over the months I learned a lot from Dr. Travis about my movement patterns and alignment even though I didn’t go in for a specific ailment or post-accident. When I became pregnant and learned more about the value of chiropractic care in pregnancy, I came to look forward to my visits as I could feel the difference every time I left with my many-moving, quickly-changing parts of my body! I also love the atmosphere, attention to breath work at the end of the session, and guided focus of gratitude in a non-cheesy way. :) Can’t wait to bring my baby in too as soon as he or she makes their appearance! Thanks for keeping me healthy and being part of my care team!

I went to see Dr. Travis this fall regarding a long standing issue with both my lower and upper back, that had not been resolved by multiple other practitioners (including chiropractors, massage therapists and physiotherapists). Dr. Travis is extremely thorough and makes you feel like he really cares about your all-around wellness. He sent me for x-rays and discovered some issues that my last chiro had missed. He tailored a program to my needs including two visits a week for adjustments and exercises for me to do at home. My back is SO much better - this has been the most effective program for this old injury that I've had. I would highly recommend seeing Dr. Travis for any health related issues. The clinic staff are also very friendly and accommodating - it's an all around great atmosphere!
