I like this place. Has a nice downhome country feel to it. Friendly staff, good homestyle food and reasonable price. Worth a stop when you are avoiding the giant global chains like Tims (ya...not Canadian eh) or Starchucks. This locally owned shop is worthy of our #YYC support. This time the cinnamon bun was deceptively good. Next time it's pie.

I ordered a soup and bagel combo for lunch and waited about 10 mins to have it delivered to my table. No biggie but it was a matter of cutting a bagel and scooping some soup into a bowl. The bagel was a Dempster's or similar low-quality brand and the cream cheese was just a packet. Garnish was a carrot stick, two pickle medallions, and a small piece of lettuce. I was unimpressed.

Basically, for what I ordered, I felt like there was no value-added process applied. But here's why it's not a 1 or 2 star review: the soup was FANTASTIC. They say homemade soups every day and I believe that. The French Onion had depth and was the right amount of salty to compliment the cheese. Portion, was tiny though but it seems like this is a popular spot with the over-70 crowd.

I will update my review when/if I try their baked goods but the lunch special was one to skip.

We love this place. It's one of those places you can spend an hour in, sipping on a latte, and a homemade pie. Their pies are excellent, of course. Light fares are also available (sandwiches, soups). We keep coming back here, and we are never disappointed.

I thought my wife’s home-made Pie was to die for:)
After bringing pie home I made my wife a fan. Tastes better, and being made all with premium ingredients from scratch you cannot get a better bang for the buck! Highly recommended both for a lunch, a snack or take it to go! With a large selection of pie both sweet and savoury, as well as soups and everything else will be coming back here for sure!!
Best yet family Owned and operated.
Patrick and his wife Candace are great to deal with:)
