The Westin Calgary Airport

  Got sent to this hotel by airline after a cancelled flight. Hotel is brand spanking new, and looks amazing. Rooms are very nice, and had probably the best mattress/pillows of any hotels I've been to. Hotel is probably still going through some adjustments, as an exemple water temperature was fluctuating a lot in shower. Some of the staff is stills bit inexperienced, but it's largely compensated by senior staff.
  
  Restaurant however is struggling a bit more, which is the only reason for a 3-star rating. Service staff seemed to be struggling with keeping up with duties, and there were changes of staff middle-service as well as very extensive wait times. Same occurred at breakfast with a different roster.
  
  Food at diner was good. Menu has some potentially amazing dishes (Beef pappardelle had the most amazing sauce), but can be offset by other weird choices (overcooked dry-pasta). Breakfast buffet had a disappointing selection for the price, and wasn't restocked frequently enough during breakfast service.
  
  Once those friction are resolved, I think the location would easily merit 5-star rating.

  Nice new place. Very roomy and clean not far from airport terminal. Friendly staff. Negative part , I kept hearing door slam. Which made me jump few times. . If you let door go , door si slam loud. I did it my self few times as well. Also room was so staticky. I kept getting shock ever time I touch something which I tuned in shower to made room moist the that was solved .

  Titanium Elite Member - At first I was impressed by the appearance of the hotel. When booking I usually always check to see if they have a lounge as it is nice to have a somewhere to work and relax out of my room and at times network on the road. They only kept the lounge open for a week here before closing even though they are still selling the club rooms online. They did give vouchers for free breakfast in the restaurant. I had to walk around and find my own coffee cup and coffee to take back to my room.
  In closing if you are staying near the airport in Calgary the Delta or in terminal Marriott are much better value for your dollar and frequent traveller experience!!!!

  Beautiful new hotel, with excellent and friendly staff. The breakfast buffet was nice, and was definitely above average on the quality of food offered.

  Amazing hotel and restaurant! Best part was the hotel bar - new and inventive drink menu speaks to the innovation of staff. All who visit MUST try the Smoked Chorizo Ceaser. Our bartender, Cody, truly provided amazing service and made sure we feel welcome. Will definitely be returning!
