Robins Donuts

Brings back childhood memories.

A good alternative to Tim Horton's. These used to be all over Calgary and years ago they closed. I am glad to see one of them back. The donuts aren't as fresh as they are trucked in (I assume), but they are still better than Tim Horton's. I love their coffee and stop in when I drive by.

I was excited to find out Calgary still has a Robin's Donuts and it been years since the Bowness location closed. It is located in a trucker stop along with gas station, rest area, restaurant. The Robin's is unfortunately only a very small take out kiosk joint with the Eggsmart restaurant. It seems that the Robin's was a add-on to the restaurant. There's a bell to ring for service and the employee that seems to work for the Eggsmart restaurant. They didn't seem to have the knowledge or confidence to make any other drinks I tried to order. The donuts we're a nice change to Tim's. If only this place was a full size Robin's and had it's own employees it might be better. Also the menu is cut down because it's a mini version of Robin's. Great doughnuts, at a reasonable price. Much better doughnuts and food selections than Tim Hortons, or evem many other doughnut and coffee places.

I have gone three times, each time it has closed. It is NOT open until 8pm. It is 7-3pm ONLY.

**Since my last review, the times were promptly changed. I did go in to check it out, I enjoyed the coffee and the Ghostbuster donut.**
