Anniversary Park is Chestermere's redeveloped lakeside park. It is free to visit and you can enjoy a beautiful sand beach, a lakeside promenade, rolling grass hills, picnic spaces and increased green spaces! There are also bathrooms onsite.

Visiting the Park

If you're planning to visit the park or the beach, here's a few things you need to know:

- This park is unsupervised and use may involve risk of injury. The City of Chestermere is not responsible for loss or injury to park users or damaged property.
- There is no lifeguard on duty. Enter the water at your own risk.
- Pets must be on leash and stay on the grass. Take responsibility for picking up after your pet and for their behaviour.
- Do not dig below six inches in the sand. A filtration liner is installed under the beach. Digging or placing items such as umbrellas in the sand can puncture the liner.

Vacationed in Calgary and found this gem of a place. It's well maintained with nice grass, sand and gradual steps down in the water. Washrooms were nice plus lots of parking

Anniversary Park is a newly redeveloped recreational area on Lake Chestermere, about 23 km /14 miles east of Calgary. Another great recreational area near the city. I came up from California to visit friends there, and we all went out for a picnic on a beautiful sunny day. It's out on the flats, so it was a bit windy. One person was sail boarding. It's nice and new with good bathroom facilities, a perfect man-made sandy beach, a lakeside walk, picnic tables, and large green spaces all neatly maintained. Anniversary Park memorializes the Canadian Armed Forces. There is no admission charge. Summer activities include motorized and non-motorized boating, picnicking, BBQ, swimming, and fishing. Warm sunny weekends are probably somewhat crowded - check other reviews. We went on a weekday summer afternoon and no crowds. In winter there's skating on a maintained rink area and snowmobiling. The City monitors ice thickness.
