Castledowns Bingo

The caller calls to fast. Unless u are a professional bingo player play less cards if u want to keep up. He was calling so fast I didn't even know if i had a bingo or not. I still had fun tho.

I have been to Castldowns a few times.They have a good menu ar reasonable prices.They even gave menu specials. The washrooms are really nice,nice counters,floors and sinks.They have cards and machines.I never play machines but today I won twice on my cards.First time I ever won there.The staff us also very friendly.

As with all Bingo halls in Alberta, the regulars not only make up the majority of players, they define the way the hall runs. It's very off putting for a "newcomer" to come in for the first time and be treated unfairly by the staff and regulars because we don't know the unspoken rules of the hall, such as the common procedure on how to buy your cards, where to sit that isn't where one of the regulars normally sit and how the games are played.

The hall needs an update, wires hanging all over the place, patchy repair work and outdated decor.

Make these places more appealing to newcomers so that they have a chance to become a regular player, rather than being scared off by a snippity regular that's been given special privilege by the staff.

In short, once I figured out how things work, and where I am allowed to sit that didn't disturb the way of life for the regulars, I did enjoy my evening. Good concession, good caller and won a little cash too.
