We can't say enough good about Dr. Pavel Liska and Elizabeth Street Pet Hospital. A few weeks ago our dog Sadie developed a wheeze over the course of a weekend and had some difficulty breathing. Our veterinarian clinic has been Elizabeth Street Pet Hospital since bringing Sadie home almost 10 years ago, Monday morning my wife tried to book Sadie in for a exam. They were completely booked, so we decided it was urgent enough that we needed to get her in to see a Veterinarian that day, we found a clinic and took her in. They examined her, did x-rays and blood work in the end they concluded Sadie had a tumor in her lungs. It was with heavy hearts we came to the decision to have Sadie euthanized and the vet agreed it would be best for Sadie. We wanted Sadie to be in more familiar surrounding and booked an appointment with Elizabeth Street Pet Hospital. They have always been amazingly patient and kind with her. Sadie like many dogs becomes very anxious when she visits the veterinarian, but the staff and Veterinarian's always did their best to make her feel as little stress as possible.

When we brought Sadie in the day of the appointment we were prepared to say good bye to our loved family member and knew we wouldn't be bringing her home. The staff preped Sadie for the procedure and gave us time to say goodbye. When we were ready we let the staff know and Dr. Liska came in and did a examination on Sadie. After a brief exam he let us know he didn't feel right about euthanizing Sadie without doing a complete exam himself, we were both in shock and asked him why. He said he looked in her eyes and just felt she was to healthy and the tumor diagnosis didn't make sense. He did x-rays and checked them thoroughly and when he came back he felt pretty confident Sadie had Pneumonia, he prescribed Antibiotics and Probiotics for her and to our disbelief we brought her back home. She completed the medication in about a week and has made a full recovery.

Thankyou Dr. Pavel Liska and Elizabeth Street Pet Hospital, without you Sadie would not be with us you literally saved her life.

This is hands down the best vet I've ever been to. Their love for the animals is so apparent, and I never worry to leave my dogs in their care. They are knowledgeable and the bill is always explained and reasonable. Excellent service always!

I came here based off reviews and the raves in doggy dental care. My senior chihuahua had a loose canine tooth and I brought him in for an exam/pre op appointment. My pups had many dentals in his life and the whole experience and vibe this place offers far exceeded anything I've ever experienced elsewhere. My reactive dog was so calm and cooperative, all of the staff were so friendly and helpful from booking to post op follow up, and I truly believe he got the best care possible. Dr Pavol examined my guy and went over a quote and made sure I was comfortable with, answered questions, we chatted about concerns and history, he had his pre op blood work and that evening the tech called me with results and said he was good to go and then the vet called me and addressed prior concerns and put my mind at ease. Surgery day the staff were so helpful with questions and nerves and called me as soon as he was awake with an update. I picked him up and they went over everything and gave me his tooth chart of what was pulled and missing, meds, care instructions and the day after the called to see how he was doing and ask if there were any concerns. They truly went above and beyond. They even trimmed his nails which was so appreciated. If you're pup is needing a dental I highly recommend Elizabeth Street Vet, Dr Pavol & team. When I came to pick him up he I could see him in the back being held and all snuggled in and being loved on. You guys all made such a stressful situation for my old guy (and myself) so much easier and will forever be my vet and my one and only vet recommendation.
    Thank you!

It is obvious from the moment you enter the clinic that all staff are invested in the care and health of your pet. I have a very anxious, senior kitty and am very impressed at how quickly she settled down and was even began purring during her annual checkup. All of my questions and concerns over her aging and possible health concerns that go along with aging, were covered and suggestions made in a proactive manner, so that my Cassie will maintain good health and be as comfortable as possible in her senior years.
