Allan Beach Resort

Love this beach! So amazing and family friendly. Clean water and great sand. We recommend this to any family looking for an outside activity. I wish they would bring back the food shack and the store is way over priced on a lot of items. With that said I still gave a 5* because you have 2 towns close by and you can reenter after you pay. You can leave to eat and still come back or you can bring a bbq and cook there. Plan properly and your day will be perfect!

First visit today. The beach is nice with raked sand (we picked garbage up), the water is clear (there are leeches of course) but really a nice, clear lake. No boat motors.
The downside is that hike from parking area down to the beach/day use area. Not horribly far, but there is a hill and no drop offs or pick ups allowed. It's a lot to pack if you're a group planning to spend the day, bring a wagon... for the cost of day use for a few hours, it really wasn't worth it. I doubt we'll be back. Can't see why the charges when it really doesn't offer anything more than any other (free) day use lakes.
No fire pits, bring your own BBQ? But you'd have to carry it In and back.... porta potty toilets , no wash stations, didn't see anything special worth the admission fee sadly.

Clean water for kiddos just pricy for a day pass if you have big family. They should consider family package to make it bit affordable
