Metchosin Farmers' Market

Lots of great veggies, yummy baking and some crafts. Good safety measures for covid 19 and best of all, it's outside so safer to shop. Market has been extended now on Sundays 11-2 until Dec. 6. Support local!

Great farmers market. It was raining pretty good and it was nice to see the merchants sheltered under the permanent overhangs. Selection was appealing.

This is a great little market featuring local crafts, produce and baking. This market usually runs from May to October, but has been extended to December 1st 2020 because covid-19 has made indoor markets inoperable for the short-term. Pets on a leash are okay, and only 50 people are allowed in the market space at a time, with volunteers monitoring the amount of people. It is not particularly crowded, and people tend to do the circuit of the market quickly because it's not a huge market. You will only have to wait about 5 or 10 minutes if you have to line up at all. It's open from 11 a.m. till 2 p.m. on Sundays. There is also a fish and chip truck that makes excellent fish and chips. They are well worth it, unless you are too full after scarfing down a six pack of cinnamon buns from one of the local bakeries :-).

I highly recommend getting here super early, the line builds very fast! Volunteers working it are friendly, and things run smoothly. Good cleaning practices, sanitizers readily available. Great selection, quaint little area! My daughter loved the museum! I highly look forward to coming again!
