Love this place! Sandy beach, logs, great views, food trucks, driftwood birds by Brother Paul.

Lovely scenery, somewhat quiet and out of the way. Good place to go

Easily accessible by vehicle, nice long stretch of beach to walk. Driftwood sculptures are cool.

Love this place. β€œThe Spit” as I call it. Lovely walk. Royal Roads one side with the sanctuary. The beautiful Straights on the other. Nice facilities. Only at one end but don’t mess up the nature any more by overdoing it. Great place to have the food trucks and Eats and Beats stuff. Love the driftwood sculptures. Please keep it clean.

After visiting the Fort Rodd Historic Site, we drove to the causeway and walked along it. There is the ocean on one side and a lagoon on the other. On the lagoon side there is a building that looks like a fishery. Somebody had built all kinds of birds out of driftwood on the ocean side of the causeway. Very artistic and creative. Seems to be a popular spot but it was not crowded. Good parking. Very cool and worth the stop.
