“Well prepared. First time kayaking in Cowichan Bay. Booked ahead. Everything was ready to go. I was pleased to see that they outfitted my kayak with all the necessary gear including a paddle float for self-rescue and an extra paddle. They also gave me a good briefing on some of the wave conditions that I might experience on my way to Genoa Bay. The Seaward kayak I used was an awesome fit and in great condition. I really enjoyed the kayak and trip to Genoa Bay and back.”

“Good local place in cow bay village! They make all their ice cream in house and use imported Dutch chocolate for their royal chocolate ice cream! Good variety of flavours as well!! If you get a cone make sure to look for the surprise in the bottom!!! Amazing selection of candy too! Hi-chews and stuff like that! If you like chocolate bars the hundred grand bar is a must try! Friendly staff too.”

“Friday Mar 22nd. From start to finish our meal was perfect! The food was amazing! The goat cheese dip, the halibut in lemon butter(special), the rack of lamb (special) cooked to perfection. Ended it with the Belgium Chocolate Tevine I think it was called. Seriously the best chocolate dessert I ever ate. Also ordered the Chocolate cake and that was so yummy too. Thanks for the great service as well. Our server who is from New Zealand was awesome!! Looking for a good meal go there! You will get what you pay for and its worth it!”

“I was eager to try this, particularly after mixed reviews online. My Red Curry with prawns was perfect. Fresh, appropriate heat, and a great portion for $12. The pork spring rolls were perhaps the best I’ve ever had. Deep fried tofu was good, but nothing special. I am very happy rollovers nearby and be able to go back!”

“The food here is above average and the price is very reasonable. I enjoyed the chicken and Brie focaccia sandwich for only $7 dollars. The following day I enjoyed the breakfast sandwich for $6 dollars. The third day I had the breakfast wrap, which was the only poor meal I received here. There was far too much lettuce in the wrap and it overshadowed the other ingredients. The sandwiches are tasty, the price is right, and I would return.”

“Respectful, ethical, knowledgeable... our tour with Ocean Ecoventures has been truly amazing and we had the chance to admire a beautiful killer whales pod during more than an hour ! Captain Simon and his team are passionate, involved in the protection and conservation of these magnificent animals and thanks to many little attentions (free sunscreen, pictures, donations...) we appreciated how sharing is definitely one of their values, over only making profit. If you are looking for a whale watching tour that will teach you a lot and make you feel like you’re in a National Geographic documentary, you’re at the right place. Can’t recommend them enough as they just made us have one of the best days of our lives. ????”

“This is the place to go if you need that little something or other for your boat project, and don't want to run all the way back into town. More likely than not, you'll find it at this marine store. Yes, you'll occasionally pay the Cowichan Bay Premium but it's still cheaper than running off to Duncan if you consider the gas and hassle. Besides, it'll save you time. Friendly staff too. But wait! Now there's more! Now they have awesome breakfast sandwiches, meat pies for lunch and if you feel like one, hot dogs. Comfortable seating and good coffee too. Edit: FYI The clam chowder here missed being voted "Best in the Bay" by only 3 votes during the Maritime Center's Boat Festival. It beat everyone but the winning entry.....”
