Jakes at the Lake

Want to share our wonderful safe experience at Jakes last night. Could not have felt any safer in a public venue! All staff not only courteous & friendly but accommodating Covid at the highest level. Tables spaced & clean, servers & cooks wearing masks & using humour through the verbal hard to understand communication. Food was fabulous tacos with unique flavours. I had the candied salmon yam wrap for the first time & it’s going to become my new favorite! Thanks Andre for making our time there enjoyable! You’re a keeper to their business for sure!

Good food. Fresh, and well-cooked. I like the limited menu. There's plenty of choice without it being all over the map. The serving staff are top notch. I think they were understaffed last Sunday, which made the service a bit patchy. No fault to the staff though. They worked hard. Well done guys.

Food was exceptional! I was very surprised that the quality was that great for a restaurant in a small town. I had the tortilla crusted chicken sandwich and it gave just a right amount of heat with the jalapeno ranch sauce. Definitely made my day! Staff was also very friendly.

Beautiful view! Service was good. Patio was scorching hot. Good beer. Some menu items were made to sound like a better deal than they actually were. “Burger and beer” actually means just that. No side included... I would definitely eat there again as a family friendly stop with a view. Fries were perfect. Rest of the food was tasty, but nothing to write home about.

Good location, nice staff. I'd like to give it a better rating but the food was unimpressive.

If you like seafood melts..... give this entree a hard pass.
