MJ Cakery

The owner Marissa was so sweet and made a birthday surprise possible! I live far away from my dad and his birthday was coming. I did not give her much notice (only a few days!) but she was able to make a beautiful cake AND was willing to deliver it for me! The cost of delivery and the cake was very reasonable. She also helped me pick flavours etc because I was so unable to decide on my own. It was so great to have help every step of the process. I am pregnant and the cake was a "gender reveal cake" AND birthday cake. (The inside was blue.) So picture me, sleepy as heck and doing this all last minute! Marissa was just a real gem throughout it all, helping me figure out the process and decide things. The cake was delivered on time and my parents said it was delicious. AND they were thrilled to find out they will be having a grandson! A great surprise and it wouldn't have been half as fun without MJ Cakery. I'm a fan.

We had gingerbread hearts made as wedding favours (a traditional German gift you see at Christmas markets for example). They had a blue border and german text written in script in the centre ("Vielen Dank" which means thank you). Overall they were awesome and the guests loved them. We did notice quite a few where the icing had soaked into the gingerbread or was falling off. I'm not sure if that 's normal or not but there were more imperfect ones than we expected.
