Warkentin Organic Farm

These are the most delicious amazing blueberries ever. I worked here for a few summers so I would know. The Warkentins work very hard to deliver amazing organic berries. And yes, they have animals, because it is a farm!

I purchased blueberries here several years ago and I kept the label because I wanted to make sure that I would be able to remember where I picked them up in the first place. What I remember is berries were extremely large and sweet, with a nice tight skin. Basically the size of small grapes!

For the past few years, we have been purchasing around 100 to 120 lbs of blueberries from this farm. The product is excellent. We are pretty fussy about blueberries as we have tried blueberries from all over the Vancouver area including suppliers for Whole Foods, Richmond farms and a Buddhist organic blueberry farm. In my opinion, the blueberries from Warkentin's are the best available.

Someone complained there were weeds and other undergrowth all over. To me this is living proof that the farm is pretty organic.

We wash and hand sort our berries and freeze them for use over the winter period. These berries are used for smoothies, salads, breakfast and a host of other uses during the winter months. It is a pleasure knowing that we have the finest organic blueberries for the entire fall, winter and spring season.

I consider Vancouver very fortunate to have a farm like Warkentin's to provide great organic blueberries.
