I couldn't have asked for a better instructor to help gain the knowledge and skills to feel confident flying on my own. Al is extremely supportive, knowledgeable, professional and has his training program dailed in. I couldn't believe the change in myself from when I started training to when I graduated my P2. I highly recommend Al and look forward to going back for my advanced training down the line.

Al is truly a paraglider's paraglider, and this is no tandem factory of a paragliding school.

He will give you as much, or as little, progression as you're comfortable with: you learn at your own pace without pressure, and if you can handle more he will teach you more. You fly in your own comfort zone, not bound to a rigid syllabus. Personally, I focused on thermal flying during my basic course - something that often takes additional instruction to become proficient in.

My friends and I came out of his P2 course confident in both ridge soaring and thermalling technique, and have no trouble staying up for hours. Others that were more risk adverse progressed to the point of a basic P2 that you could have been taken anywhere (ie at a P2 student factory).

If you prefer a rigid structure and short flights, look elsewhere. Al's instruction is personalized and will come at you as fast (or as slow) as you can absorb the knowledge & skills.

Al is very generous of his time and information! I would recommend it for sure! The tandem flight I did was the best thing I ever done. He is very knowledgeable and I felt very safe!

Al is a fantastic instructor and his school is perfectly situated close to a bunch of suburb flying spots only he has access too. He went above and beyond in helping me get re-skilled and licensed to fly in Canada.
