(October 16, 2018, 12:33 pm):) there may be bears at night. The Fathers are so lovely to talk to and true men of God. I didn't email ahead to announce my visit, but was welcomed with wide open arms :) visitors who are new to the idea of monasteries please kindly note that it really isn't like a resort or mall: no one is here whose job is solely to greet and tour guide and man the gift shop. These are folks who spend all day every day in prayer and asceticism, in pursuit of the Holy Spirit. We caught the Fathers having some free time to lavish time on us, but rightly we should only have expected to use the churches for quiet prayers :) so don't be foolish like me and email ahead.

(September 11, 2018, 6:39 am)Great calming presence on consecrated ground at All Saints. The Theotokos Joy of Canada icon radiates holiness. A must visit for Christian believers.
