    These guys are the real deal. They seem to genuinely care about the health and well being of their clients. Everything is explained clearly and in great detail and no treatments are pushed. Stoked to see there are still establishments devoted to their customers and not their bottom line.

    My idea to phase out the plastics is a points system. Each visit is worth a few points. You could do a simple stamped business card, or a digital system. After the card is full or the points have reached a goal, the child can cash in on a gift card (Apple $, Google play $, Xbox $).

    That way the child can buy a book, music, or game in a zero-waste way. Or, if you still want to give out actual toys, at least it's offset by a bunch of visits, so you can afford something eco-friendly and locally made.

    I think this will build a better long term relationship with your customers.

    Taking a step like this will certainly resound with your customers. Nobody will miss throwing out the broken mood rings or the lost bouncy balls. Seriously, parents are the ones paying the bill and we hate that junk. We would be so impressed, we would spread the word out on our social media channels.

    Thanks for your response, I have upgraded my review to 3 stars, because I have one more gripe. The prizes you give to kids are plastic garbage. Every single one you give out has a very short useful life, then will stay forever in a landfill or worse, in the Ocean. Then there's the little plastic bags and lately you've been giving out those awful plastic single use floss sticks. There's lots of plastic involved in dentistry that we can justify, but I feel like all this is being piled on and it's very wasteful. As the world wakes up to the single use plastics problem, businesses like yours need to look at what plastic can be eliminated. A great start would be to not give out plastic junk as gifts. If parents want to buy their kids this stuff, there's a dollar store across the street. Instead of advertising your family-friendlyness using disposables, you can advertise your reduction in plastic waste, which is a gift they will have tremendous value for the kid's future and the local ecology. If you were to take on a plastic waste reduction plan, me and my 6 immediate family members would each be very encouraged to give you 5 star reviews. I think that would take you from 4.1 to 4.8 rating, while also saving you money, and doing something good for our local waterways.

    I'm going to leave my old review below, but if we can get on the same page with this, I'll replace all of it with a positive review.

    Paying people for good Google reviews is shady and against the Google terms of service. Let your work earn the review. I would have given 5 stars if it wasn't for this, because we've always had a good experience here.

    Very satisfied with mellow dental. Flexible hours are really helpful. The ladies at the clinic are all very friendly and helpful and helped explain my insurance coverage so i had a better understanding. Would recommend to family and friends any time.

    As someone who had neglected their dental health for 16 years, Mellow Family Dental brought me up to date and back to health in the smoothest way possible.
    The staff are very friendly, humourous and light-hearted. I suffer from anxiety, and they did a wonderful job at talking me through the whole experience. I plan to bring my whole family there for care. The receptionist worked with my dental plan to save me money and to utilize my plan best.
    Definitely the most comfortable place to be to get maybe some uncomfortable stuff fixed.

    First impressions GREAT! I recently moved to Maple Ridge and have been looking for a new dental office. Ive checked out a few already to get a feel for it, but a friend of mine who is a patient at Mellow and recommended the office to me saying Dr. Makhani is incredibly knowledgeable, great with kids, and does fantastic work. So when I was in the area I decided to check this clinic out. Not only was it nice and clean and inviting, but the receptionists were incredibly friendly, chatty, and were able to answer all my questions in order to set up a family dental appointment and explained direct billing etc. I feel that my family will be very comfortable coming to this office. So once I come back from my family summer vacation I will definitely be booking there.
