Shaughnessy Park Dog Off-leash Area

I come here occassionally just to chill at the river with the fam. The dog park itself is nicely kept. My biggest issue is the trails and the area just around the dog park. Poop pretty much everywhere and the garbage bins are always filled to the brim. Then theres the "above-the-law" owners who let their dogs run wild off-leash in non-designated areas. I know that says less about the park and more about the people who frequent it but c'mon people. Have some pride in your parks/city, follow the rules and clean up after yourselves. Cudos to all the good dog owners tho.

There is a large dog section and small dog section. There is seating in both areas but not much cover so wet when it rains.

Rarely do you find such a well planned and laid out dog park. The people who frequent the park are friendly too.
