Yamako Japanese Restaurant

I really love this place.
Excellent food, good service, clean restaurant.

Variety of menu was fine, about 2 pages of unique rolls.
Quality of food was fine, fish was fresh and tasted well.
Service was friendly, just a bit slow.

I will gladly say on any day that this is my favourite sushi restaurant in the lower mainland — and it was difficult to find one this good. Greater Vancouver has far too many mediocre sushi places, which are sometimes opportunistic businesses exploiting the sushi trend in the West Coast rather than genuine sushi restaurants that simply serve great food. This place is the rare gem that I love and respect, and would like to send more words out if I could.

Better Japanese then most in South Surrey. Better value then Sushi Mori and on par with 2 Guys Sushi. Gomai is a big portion but a little stringy. Get the Love boat.
