Bruce is an amazing guitar tech and experienced plek technician. He litteraly fix you gear and makes it sound like never before. Heavy work like re-freetting or neck setups are no problem for him. Also, he's the only guitar tech in town with his own plek station.
🏴 Flag as inappropriateI have had nothing but great experiences with Bruce and the PLEK machine. It allows for a greater accuracy in neck/ fret/ nut work , more than even a highly skilled, super experienced luthier could possibly do manually, by hand: accuracy is +/- 0.03mm, I believe. Probably not physically possible with files and abrasives methods. There are two other really great guitar guys in town who fit that bill. I bought a relatively inexpensive JTurser SG from Bruce, quite a while back, that was one of his early PLEK patients. It was so accurate, smooth and easy to play, that it was a no-brainer. I have also bought several inexpensive Guitar Fetish guitars, that generally have pretty poor neck assembly/ fret/ nut finishing jobs, but they look cool, have good body finishing, decent pickups, attractive shapes and are very different, in many ways from the usual Gibson/ Epi/ Fender, etc., available models. That's what the appeal is. After Plekking they have all turned into great playing axes, with super even/ accurate frets, even note articulation and great intonation, on every note. I just had two of these mutts done recently and they are totally great players now. Highly recommended. Cheers Bruce.
🏴 Flag as inappropriateBruce is very helpful and down to earth guy. The Plek machine is cool too, It gave my 80's P bass a wonderful fret dress.
🏴 Flag as inappropriateOne of the few places in Canada with a PLEK machine. Really nice guy who will put the extra time in to talk to you and make sure your happy. I had two old guitars that he made practically brand new for a sweet price. Also he has a bearded dragon that chills in the shop so that alone is worth the visit
