Granville House B&B

This was a lovely place to stay. Luxurious accommodations. It is a fairly central location for sightseeing. They also provided a delicious breakfast to start of the day

The home is lovely and immaculate. The crustless quiches for breakfast were scrumptious and the staff was most helpful, friendly, and knowledgable. However, this b&b is on a main road, almost a freeway and there is a lot of traffic 24/7. The front bedrooms face this main road and even with the window closed, the noise is booming. I brought ear plugs with me and these did not really make a difference. The front bedrooms also face West and on a hot day, the suite can become uncomfortably hot. There is air conditioning, but it is only used at night and not sufficiently to cool the room. My suite had an unworkable safe and windows where the latch was broken so extremely difficult to open and close. Since this b&b was a little distant from the center of the city, a nice addition would be to have bus schedules and a map of Vancouver in each room. Unless a person can sleep through any noise, I would definitely not recommend staying at Granville House if the only rooms available are the ones that face Granville Street.

Nice and cozy, parking is a bit of a hazle as you can't park in front of the house and there are No Parking signs at the back. Other than that, amazing hotel.
