The Market at Big White

Not much to say: grocery store in ski resort. Store is fairly small with little variety and high prices. Which is understandable considering the location.

Grewt food. Nice atmosphere. Nicely appointed furnishings.

The market had exceeded my expectations, it had variety of groceries including organic produce. The cheese selection in deli was impressive. Really liked the local hard cider.

Relatively well stocked and very convenient location for those staying on the mountain, but of course there’s a huge markup on everything, especially basic foods (milk, bread, butter etc). My biggest gripe, though, is that a lot of products aren’t clearly priced, or price tags seem to be missing altogether making it impossible to know what you’re going to get charged at the till, or which of two seemingly identical products will cost your first born.

It’s a grocery store at a ski hill that’s super over priced. Good in the sense that you can get food and cook in your condo and still come in cheaper than eating out but bad in the sense that prices are super high. If you can, you’re better off picking up groceries in town before coming up.
