“The family and I topped in for a coffee for the first time on Saturday and there was a steady stream of traffic coming in after us. The lady working the counter was very welcoming and she was kept busy brewing/making drinks. The Rock Creek Trading Post was pretty rustic inside but the coffee was great and the food looked delicious. Outside, not far from the front door coffee beans were being roasted in 2 different roasters and there was seating available which would be nice come warmer days.”

“CREATIVE, fun store alert! I was so impressed with all the “home made” items inside plus all the other unique item for sale. There were things like aprons, old fashioned braided rugs, jewelry, wool people, soaps, clothes, artwork, baby clothes, bird houses, blankets, table runners, antiques and so much more. The prices were all very reasonable and the clerk was friendly and kind. While you are there check out the flea market that is attached to the Old Schoolhouse, separate door towards the back of the building, outside.”

“We came looking for firewood on a locals recommendation after coming up dry at the two gas stations. Found firewood, cold drinks and a really friendly woman that even let us fill our water jugs for our stay at a provincial campground near by. Next time we would stay here instead. Beautiful grassy campground with shade just steps from the river. Absolutely worth leaving the highway to check out.”

“We really enjoyed our time here. It’s really nice to be right on the River. Some spots have lots a trees and others don’t have any so it can be hit or miss if you just show up. There’s lots of outhouses and garbage bins around which is great for tenting. Also, all sites have a picnic table and a fire pit. My only real complaint is you get some road noise from the hwy but other than that, a great location for $30 per night.”
