Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen

Surprisingly good fast food. chicken was juicy and crispy, fries were cooked perfectly, the biscuit was nice and fresh tasting. the only thing that was not good was the fountain drink, most of the drinks I wanted came out as carbonated water and the drink that did have some color to it tasted off, almost like you taste the flavors of the other drinks in it.

I have heard MAJOR HYPE about Popeyes chicken. I think it's an American thing but I wanted to try it. I purchased a chicken sandwich, fries & some chicken strips. It was good but nothing special. Would I purchase again? Sure- it's now another fast food place I could stop if I was in a hurry. The location in Langley was easy to get to, staff were friendly & the place was very clean.

So popeyes in canada used to have different kinds of sandwiches but they recently adjusted their menu with 1 chicken sandwich with different sauce (classic or spicy mayo). Ordered spicy mayo and I loved it because of its improved quality of bun and chicken. I guess this is what they sell in original ones down the border.

Went for the chicken sandwich. Fast service even when particularly busy. Reasonable prices. The variety of sides available was a refreshing change and were surprisingly tasty. The staff said the recipe for the chicken was the same as the recipe used in the States, but the topping differed a little, which I didn't mind because the sandwich ended up being delicious. The strawberry cream cheese pies are a wonderful treat.

Nice to spoil yourself, like 3 years never happened..
