SUSHI SAMA in Maple ridge

Very good food very reasonable prices.

Found this place during the pandemic my favorite dish has to be the Korean style hot soup. 9/10 Delicious but you gotta like heat.

Went during pandemic earlier stages and was greeted with very kind and friendly staff.

They seemed a younger crew and were bumping J Cole when I picked up whole experience was just fantastic.

Stay away if you're a Karen just go to Chilis like you was planning too. Or ABC kitchen IDGAF

Sushi Sama is one of my favourite sushi places! I have probably ordered from there once every week or two since I moved to Maple Ridge 5 months ago. I love the sauce choices on almost every roll and the prices are fair for the quality. It seems that even the cheaper items on the menu have great thought put into them and usually have a sauce, topping or new ingredient that makes their version of a classic item unique. My personal favourite rolls are the Alaska Roll and the French Kiss Roll but I still haven't tried everything on the menu!

Great, even almost delightful service, but unfortunately the food is far from being authentic as claimed on the website. Aburi sushi were cooked, not seared. Rice appears to be not Japanese sushi rice and doesn't have the proper texture one would expect. Fish was ok but not impressive in any way.

If you expect authenticity, I doubt you'll get it here. You will likely enjoy the service, however.

Super good!! Got a yam tempura roll, and a mango avocado roll and definitely not disappointed.:-) the spicy crispy roll is also a new favourite
