Take The Cake Patisserie

I was craving a cupcake and knew people raved about this place on Eat New West. I got their special chai and a lime berry cupcake + 2 tarts . So far this cupcake blew me away. Perfect sponge, delicious lemon filling, the perfect butter cream and most importantly the ratio was perfect ♡♡♡♡ so happy. Craving satisfied .

Went to take the cake 10 min before closure and the owner and the other worker ( Kenny) was kind enough to welcome us and let us stay to enjoy these delicious lemon tart and Mouse chocolate cake. These are absolutely beyond a natural flavor. Everything ingredient was chose and selected to create these fine cake. Highly recommended and will visit again even we live in Maple Ridge. Thank you again!

We live in Maple Ridge but were in New Westminster for a birthday dinner. As a last minute thought we headed over to Take the Cake Bakery and made it just before closing time. The Lemon Tart was beyond delicious, my partner ordered the chocolate cake and could not say enough about how much he enjoyed it. New Westminster you have a diamond of a bakery in your backyard…. a must stop by bakery. Delightful conversation with the owner who creates it all and the Staff member was so pleasant and helpful. If you want to have your expectations exceeded then stop by this place.

We've been multiple times now and have loved everything that we've gotten. Highly recommend all the shortbread cookies (especially the chai one) and the fresh cream cake. The owner is so kind and even gave my little one a free berry scone! Love this little bakery / cafe! It's so nice to have a spot like this in our neighbourhood.

This place is an absolute treasure! I've been to so many bakeries in the lower mainland and this one, by far, takes the cake ;). I picked up 6 individual slices of cakes to try and every one of them has been so delicious. Not too sweet, perfect constancy and on point flavors. I believe it was the owner who packed up my cakes and was telling me about how they fly cherries in from France for the black Forrest cake (which is absolutely to die for delicious). His passion was so clearly written on his face and I will be definitely giving him my business moving forward!
