Sula Indian Restaurant, Main Street

Such a great restaurant! Every dish I’ve ordered at Sula is absolutely delicious. Tonight, I went with a friend who is gluten and dairy intolerant, and our server made excellent recommendations! Inside is warm and cozy, but we sat on the heated patio, which was warm (and kept us dry, despite a torrential downpour). Our server was terrific - very helpful, funny and lovely. I regret not asking her name. If you’re looking for a really good Indian meal, Sula on Main is it! (Also love their Commercial Drive location).

We happened upon Sula by chance while walking along Main Street to different restaurant. The warmly lit entrance seemed enticing we ventured inside to find that the food and service were equally in inviting. Our meal was spot on. Sula serves proper Indian food in a safe environment. We’re looking forward to stopping in again in the future. Highly recommended!

Fantastic food & Service. The only complaint is that they were too eager to present you with the bill to move onto the next patron. There was a limit on the seating time due to the pandemic, but we were not even asked if we wanted dessert even though we finished our dinner before the time limit was reached. Overall, best south Asian food I ever experienced.

Wonderful experience. Friendly efficient server who kindly reminded us of our time limit without it being awkward. Bar was willing to make a cocktail not listed on their menu. Reasonable portions and tasty curries. Will definitely be back!

An excellent find. They have done a nice job renovating the old Reef. We loved the starters. We should have been more adventurous and tried the street food options, next time. The wine was reasonably priced. The mains were excellent, we went with medium spice level and that worked for us. I would recommend the tandoori vegetables.
