We are so lucky to have this amazing mountain resort nearby. It's a short (1hr) drive from Salmon Arm to the village parking. The snowboard instructors over the past two years have been wonderful, as have all of the other friendly staff. It's a resort where my kids can ride the hill on their own, and I don't have to worry. We are already looking forward to next season.

Wide open runs. Great for skiing or snowboarding. Tons of cross country options. Numerous ski in ski out options if you can afford it. Neat little village next to the main lift. Not crowded. Some of the passes can be tough to get through during the winter if you're not local. Much cheaper lift tickets than the more well known spots. Highly recommended.

This is a great mountain located in near Vernon BC. The slopes have a variety of terrain ranging from bunny hill to double blacks. The resort is divided into a couple of sections where skiing difficulty does matter and will be different. The village gives the resort a warm and cozy feeling with all the buildings have various colour schemes that add to the village beauty. I would go back again.

A very special place. Once you be been here youโ€™d return all the time. The terrain ranges from beginner to double blacks offering a wide range. Spectacular hikes and views.
Interesting names of runs All linked to the locals who contribute so much of their time to enhance your vacation.
From cappuccinos at Bugaboos with delectable pastries, soups and sweets to The Den with superb service. The duck wings are yummy. 1609 for more formal meals. Excellent wine list.
Long Johns pub lends local colour a gathering place for Apres ski. And Out of Bounds for scrumptious breakfasts. Pizzas for movie nights! We keep returning for the past 20 years

Love SilverStar! Price is a little bit more expensive than the neighboring hill of Big White, but the new gondola they put in this year makes it worth it. We had a beautiful day, so there was no big need for it this time, but I'm looking forward to using it when the weather isn't as nice. It will make for a much more enjoyable day. I had the pleasure of riding up a couple times with some of the hosts, and they were so nice and fun to talk to. Just as that extra little bit that makes for a better day
