Cozy Cabins is a hidden gem in paradise. It is a very special place for families to escape and connect. A private lake stocked with trout, clean and clear for swimming, and perfect for rowing with the kids. The cabins are comfortable and private with everything you need. Lots of space for the kids to run around and investigate. Harald and Kim are fantastic hosts. We loved our stay and can’t wait to come back next year.

About 30 years ago my family, along with another family, visited a nature resort in the mountains of interior B.C. At 8 years old the resort was rustic and backwoods. Each day we swam in the lake, caught fish, rode horses, hiked, had campfires and ran free. At the time there were 2 cabins by the lake (Deer and Bear) and the main house. The property was run by Jules and Hilda. Jules was a character. A mountain man with stories of hunting bears and cougars, and living the backwoods - as a young boy the stories were of legend. After a week, we went home.

My family always talk about trip, but for whatever reason we never asked our parents about the location. The trip became locked in time, the stories became fantasy, the place magical and the location lost forever.

Now married and with three kids. Through friends, my wife heard of a nature resort near Echo Lake and decided to book a week away from the city and back to nature. For whatever reason, I didn't look at the website ... just went with it.

Upon arriving we were greeted by Harold and brought to our very nice cabin (Beaver). Our family quickly settled in. The kids immediately went to the lake - there they found nature (tadpoles, frogs, fish, and more), swimming, rope swig, row boats, docks, etc. Over the next few days we explored the property, met other families, had camp fires, and enjoyed being away from everything.

Over the first few days, I was noticeably silent. Standing by the lake, I couldn't help but think I had been here ... so many things were familiar but different (much better now). By Tuesday, I called my parents and started to connect the dots, including confirmation by Kim. This was the lost world found from all those years ago.

Our family had a wonderful time and we look forward to going back. Harold and Kim have made so many improvements to the property making it welcoming and family friendly, while keeping it rustic. Like 30 years ago, my kids now talk about that magical place by the lake.

We recently spent a week in the moose cabin. It was a wonderful experience for our whole family the cabin was clean and had everything we needed, the weather was not great when we arrived but we were greeted by a warm fire lit ready for us!! having the sand pit and playhouse just outside the cabin gave the smaller children something to do even if the weather was not great.. The lake was beautiful my younger children enjoyed playing on the beach and catching tadpoles while my older 3 explored and fished. It made us reconnect as a family away from electronics. We love the fact that it is so family friendly I felt safe letting the children explore and the owners Harold and Kim were always on hand they made it feel like home!!!! We will definately be going back it's a magical place!!! Thankyou so much for giving us a amazing experience.

We just spent the weekend at the Deer Cabin and WE loved it! This place takes our breath away. We had a great family time. Our kids enjoyed the beach and the space they can ran around in, the peaceful walks and hikes. Harold and Kim take pride of their business and treat you like family. The weekend was too short. We will definitely be coming back. Highly recommended!
