I can’t say enough good things about Combat Athletics Okanagan....
Both my kids (7 & 9) are special needs, I am worried they may get singled out and have a tough time growing up, so I want to make sure they can stand up and defend themselves if required.
We tried a couple different martial arts courses but the kids focus just wasn’t there, and the instructors didn’t quite have the patience to deal with the extra attention that was required for the kids to succeed, then we came across COA. This was a total game changer, these guys actually understood the fact that not everybody is the same, not everybody understands or learns the same way, every body has their own unique traits & personalities; Sean & Robert focus on each persons individual strengths and weaknesses and guide them to better themselves and grow as an individual while still being an important key in the group setting. They don’t focus on fight, fight, fight; they teach empathy, tolerance, patience, respect, avoidance, and defence. They emphasize the importance of walking away from trouble, seeking adult help when bullied and how to stand up for yourself if all other options are exhausted.
The kids always have a great time, get a good work out, and learn a lesson with every class; they can hardly wait for the week to be over so they can do it all over again.
Another highlight of the course is the fact that the parents are also encouraged to participate (if able) so they can bond & learn right along side the little Warriors.
There’s really no way to describe all the positive things about COA, I encourage you to stop in and see, or better yet, try for yourselves.
