After a few years of being unable to use Scout properties, it was great to be back at Camp Byng for our year end Group Camp. Skeena lodge was great. Fully furnished with bunks, showers and industrial kitchen. Some of the cub hulls are short mattresses and minor maintenance is required by work parties throughout the summer after two years of being shuttered.

    Skeena - Wonderful as always.
Archery - Great. 4 targets. Kids had fun. Good for Cubs and up.
Low Ropes course - Limited portions available due to safety inspector requesting upgrades.
Upper Field Frisbee Golf - Didn’t try it but heard it’s popular.
New double knot booking system - Took some getting used to but was ultimately smoother than cutting cheques.

AMAZING!!!!! I am in my happy place when I am walking on the beaches along Camp Byng frontage. Absolutely breathtaking natural coastline undisturbed by progress. This is a mini-West Coast Trail with some wonderful private coves and pebble beaches. Be prepared with some decent waterproof shoes and a moderate level of health to walk the 4+ KM return. Nothing too dangerous other than scampering over the rock outcrops around high tides. Beach is only accessible from the East.
