Good dog park. Dogs can swim in the Assiniboine in the summer, and a good starting point for walks in the river in winter.

Added bonus: Great sledding hill for the kids and you can bring your dog.

Cool little dog park. Went at night was alone. Beautiful trees. Careful this park has direct access to the river.

Lovely park in St. James with many amenities: community centre, off leash dog park, lawn bowling areas, two hockey rinks (one of which is paved so it can be sometimes be used for basketball, road hockey, etc. in the warmer months), two soccer fields and a play structure for kids. There is a parking lot. The park hugs the Assiniboine river. People can sometimes be found fishing on the shore. The bike and walking path later connects to Bruce Park which, following the subsequent street can take you all the way to Assiniboine Park.

Excellent facility with ample kitchen and dining space for groups. Complete with a lovely little stage and hall. Surrounded by Parkland and right next to the river. Public skating rinks with warm up buildings. Next to an area for dogs.
