Pembina Veterinary Hospital

I've been visiting the team at Pembina Vet Hospital for a few years now and I couldn't be happier with my experience. When we recently had a pet with a very rare disease, they were wonderful about explaining risk and extremely attentive and sympathetic. Ultimately, we lost her but the staff was so heartwarming and even wrote our family a lovely card with personal messages from all the staff that touched her life. In addition, I take comfort in knowing that the facility has an emergency staff/team (separate from the daytime company) and all my pet history and documents are on their files for efficient access. Of course, emergency costs are much more than regular but that is to be expected. Dr Hawkes and Dr Duncan have fantastic bedside manner and are dedicated to helping us make the best decisions for our family. I will continue being loyal to Pembina Vet Hospital with our current pets.

My cat very suddenly suffered a stroke last night at around 10:30PM. This was the only vet we could find that was open, so we took him here. He sadly passed before we could get there but the staff were very kind and caring despite having a process of paperwork to fill out. They were respectful and caring and even offered to contact our regular vet to inform them of his passing, and cleaned his kennel for us before giving it back. (We’ve had experience at other vets where they did not)

I was pretty satisfied with the care my little guy received when I brought him in a couple of months ago. It can be difficult to find a vet that has someone who specializes in exotic animals like my little guinea pig (skinny pig, actually), but I was thrilled to find upon calling that Pembina did.

We were able to get an appointment for a little later the same day. The vet identified that my little guy had an ear infection, which was drastically impacting his balance. Sent home with an antibiotic and an anti-inflammatory, he rebounded pretty quickly and I am quite grateful.
