I've never even had the opportunity to be offered the starbursts they give out here and I still love this place ? 10/10 they make it so easy to be naked infront of them , and the staff are all so friendly

As a newcomer to Winnipeg, I was scouring Google and all other review platforms to try to find the best place to have my brows done. I’ve had one terrible experience in the past which has created a lot of anxiety for me when trying new places/people and, prior to moving here, I’d been using the same place - and only two people in it - for over a decade. The idea of having to change it up was overwhelming. I settled on Nude Sugar Bar after seeing the great reviews and reading up on the sugaring process (I used to have them waxed). Everything from booking to the actual appointment was so great. Booking by email was smooth and efficient, I explained my anxieties and my eyebrows and how I wanted someone who would listen and work with me to achieve the look I’ve become accustomed to and I was set up with Ginelle. Ginelle was excellent. She was patient, she listened, asked questions, let me show her photos, and really put me at ease, and, of course, they came out perfectly. Beyond that, she is super friendly and makes the time fly by with causal conversation while she works, but never loses focus.

For those who’ve never sugared, as I hadn’t, I’d definitely recommend giving it a try. In my experience, it’s about on par to the pain/discomfort I felt with waxing, in terms of brows at least. I suspect it would be slightly less painful on other body parts though I haven’t expanded my horizons in that direction yet. However, that said, I did notice a major difference in terms of the aftermath - my naturally sensitive skin was far less irritated (visibly AND in terms of soreness after) than it was by waxing, both immediately and in the long-term.

Aside from all of that, the environment here is great. Everyone is very friendly, but not the super-apparent fake type of friendly that you get a lot of places. It’s a very calming atmosphere. More like walking into a spa than anything else, and it’s so pretty inside. And they’ve got a parking lot!

I highly recommend anyone on the fence go ahead and try Nude Sugar Bar. And while I’ve only personally used the wonderful Ginelle, I suspect everyone else is just as great - it just seems like the type of place that strives to ensure quality.

I have been coming to Nude Sugar Bar for years. Great atmosphere and I absolutely love the decor.
