Framing & Art Centre

Full disclosure, I visited this gallery because Elizabeth Sellors is a friend of mine and I admire her work.

This gallery is a long ways out of my way but it is a really nice place and I'm glad I had a reason to visit. There was a wide range of work on display and available, from paintings through digital to ceramics and everything was reasonably priced for original art pieces. I had a nice chat with the owner about a very old family heirloom I was looking at having conserved and re framed and I liked his professionalism and attitude.

Now, the real reason I went in the first place was the exhibition of a local artist's works. I've included a sampling of her paintings here and you can see that they are an interesting mix of realism and abstractionism that all speak to a love of painting and a love of the countryside. I've heard of almost all the sites she has painted, and have visited a good number of them myself in my wanderings. Her images make me want to visit the ones I haven't been to yet which is a pretty good indication that her work is of the highest quality. I am particularly impressed with her rending of the cloudscapes as they are not only realistic, but I think very accurate from a meteorological aspect. I am still working on fluffy white happy clouds myself so to see an image and recognize stratus, cumulus or stratocumulus in the painting is impressive.

Excellent customer service! I've been to this business twice before; the first time I was restoring an old frame and needed help to remove the attached canvas. The staff quickly helped me remove the staples at no charge, and helped me bring it back to my car. On my most recent trip, I needed new glass for a frame. The staff helped me right away, it was super affordable, and I was done in 10 minutes! Highly recommend this business.
