Do you like icelandic immigration history? How about wool sweaters? Random hockey players in an icelandic museum? THEN THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU!

I actually had a lovely time lol. Hence the 5 star rating. Would recommend. ?

Despite the the recently placed restrictions due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, I had a very nice experience coming here. Got to learn a lot about the history of New Iceland and the culture of the Icelandic people living in Manitoba. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience.

A small, but very cool museum. There's lots of local history and some Iceland information. My favorite part however was the rock displays at the end, there's some crazy natural rock formations, and I love seeing them.

Very organized and the staff are friendly in the museum.
Watched a short documentary film about early Icelandic people immediated to new Iceland started Gimli and the Ukrainian joined and others.
You can buy any of the museum gifts or memorial stuff with the same price or cheaper than the city shops.
You will learn also about the Volcanos and the rocks.
    Deserved to visit.
