Staff here is amazing! Took 6 teenagers with their own boards. 1 of them broke her binding, they fixed it for free! 2 others needed bindings tightened or adjusted, they did that happily too! Got us all back on the hill in no time.

    Expensive.

Helmet extra fee (only important safety item).

Hills decent but no real beginner hill.

Dated inside environment but still nice.

Inside staff OK (5.9/10 on friendliness scale).

Many staff members on hills which was really great to see.

The motel rooms look great from the outside but unfortunately we didn’t stay there... probably would have been nice!

Overall, I’d give it a 3.5/5, but there are definitely negatives to this establishment so have to go with 3/5 and not 4/5!

Friendly staff, good food, and mutliple lifts, but room to improve to get on pace with other southern Manitoba resorts. Overall the place seems to lack character as a whole, and doesn't feel connected to other local businesses.

My wife an I enjoyed a day of skiing at Holiday Mountain, including lunch in the lodge. We have been checking out the other southern Manitoba ski resorts, and Holiday was next on the list.

The staff at the resort was all friendly and efficient, from the lifties and rental shop to the restaurant and lounge.

The restaurant had limited offerings, but they were very quick and the food was hot and fresh, tasted good, and reasonably priced. Burger and chicken fingers were both good. The lounge had limited drink offerings (all canned, no cocktails), and we were dissappointed to not see some local breweries represented (not much of a Budwieser guy myself).

The facilities are dated, but they do have a coat of fresh paint, so they don't feel worn out. The restrooms could use some updating and both seemed to need some better ventilation.

Two of three chair lifts are running this year, they're obviously old (no safety bars on one of them), but working well. The runs seemed to be lacking snow, rocks and grass poking through by the end of the day. There was fresh snow in the morning, so no grooming was done overnight. Runs are steep at the top, then flatten out at the bottom, so you can really only play around on the top half of the run then you've got to take a pretty straight line down if you want to make it to the lift ques.

The rentals are a little bit rough too, but our ski set ups worked well for us. Disappointing to see them charging extra for helmets. Would be nice to see them encouraging people to wear helmets by eliminating that extra barrier of a rental fee. Some better signage in the rental shop might help things flow smoother through there.

We enjoyed our day, we'd go back, and a great opportunity for locals.

Close enough to Winnipeg for a day ski. The hills have been in good shape the 2 times we went this year. There were long equipment waits (we bring our own but had friends with long delays) but that seems solved now. Note: both chair lifts worked great thos Saturday Feb 5. Two weeks ago, Only 1 chair lift was working visit. The staff did run the other one at top speed but the wait times were longer then they should have been. Seems solved now! Great job.

Overall, a great local hill with nice staff (Instructor Chris we randomly met on the hill, and he gave my daughter a free lesson on our way down). We will be back lots this winter. Already our 3rd visit.

Better than Aessippi for the kids.

First time visiting the mountain and to be honest, I wasn't expecting much, having grown up skiing in
    BC 🙈

However, I was suitably impressed!! The parking lot was full, but they had overflow parking a short walk away; the line up for rentals/ski lift tickets went quick ish; the fellas helping with the rentals were patient and knowledgeable; I signed my 3 kids up for lessons (ages 4, 8, and 9), and the instructors really went above and beyond!! Catherine was able to take my little girl up the hill with only 20 minutes of instruction and helped her snow plow down, and Chris taught my 2 boys so well, that my oldest was begging me to "make this a regular thing"! 😍 In fact, he and I returned the next week, and after just that one hour long group lesson, my son was able to keep up with me! 😊

I didn't give 5 stars, as I understand the new owners only recently took over and have some big plans for the resort, so I look forward to returning in the next year or two and giving a full 5☆ 👍
