Great sights and sounds. Family likes to grab Half Moon from nearby and picnic here while watching the pelicans.

Easy to spend a casual afternoon in Lockport. Lots of fishing near the dam. Lots of adjacent restaurants (a little tough to walk to just due to traffic not proximity). There is a park next to the dam as well as a few historic sites within proximity.

Boaters need to follow lock protocols and have a travel plan to use the locks.

Great place to go for a drive on a sunny day. Even better if you get a chance to watch a boat navigate the locks. And, of course, stop in for a legendary Skinners foot long dog and fries.
