I'd never done Crossfit before but there was still classes available in my skill level, and the veteran members and coaches were very supportive and helpful.

My wife and I had a trial workout today, first time trying CrossFit. The instructor was great and was really helpful in walking us through the various movements and scaling things for us newbies! 😀 Would recommend them if you're curious and looking to try it out.

I joined PCF relatively recently after my previous box, CF204, closed. I immediately noticed a few things that I like about PCF. First, I had an opportunity to train with a number of coaches. They are all super-friendly and knowledgeable, but they add a little bit of their individuality and personal “tricks” in coaching and I learn more. Second, the workouts are very structured. Warm-up is followed by heavy lifting or OLY and then finished with conditioning. All workouts are different, but every time we hit all targets. I like this a lot. Plus, there is always a performance and lifestyle variation of the workout developed ahead of time. So, if I am recovering from a trauma, a coach doesn’t have to develop a scale-down for me “on the fly”, I can just do lifestyle variation or something in between. Third, I like the setup of the box. Each athlete has a barbell rack, pull-up bar, gymnastic rings, rowing machine and assault bike right in their station, so there is no need to constantly wander from station to station. The box is well-equipped and has tons of gear for every workout. Finally, in response to covid the box was divided into individual “pods” that allow each athlete to workout 2 metres from one another and be safe. I highly recommend PCF.
